Hello, Wolf Pack Families!
This is a busy and meaningful time of year for schools, including QES as learning, assessments, and community events come together. We are grateful for the continued partnership of our incredible families—your support, communication, and involvement make such a difference in shaping our annual springtime traditions and in helping our students feel ready and confident as we head toward June, and beyond.
As we head into the final weeks of yet another school year—a homestretch of sorts—we have so much to be proud of. The strength of our Wolfpack is seen not only in student learning, but in the care, connection, and shared commitment shown by students, staff and families each day.

Upcoming - Volunteers Needed
We are in need of volunteers to support our PATs at QES. We are currently looking for volunteers who DO NOT have a student in grade 6, and who have current police clearance with the office. Volunteers will act as chaperones to support student breaks as required by Alberta Education. Please remember, your child will be in grade 6 one day too and will require support from parents from another grade. It takes a village!
Please review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up. Thank you!

Reminder | Keeping Toys & Personal Items at Home
Students should not bring to school personal items such as small figurines/toys, stuffed toys, trading cards etc. that are not directly related to their schoolwork. In addition to being a possible distraction and/or hazard, the security of these items cannot be guaranteed. Please be aware that the school will take no responsibility for items’ safekeeping. If students choose to bring games and toys to school and there are problems with their use (trading, disagreements, interfering with classroom learning), then the item will be confiscated and parents will be contacted. Thank you, in advance, for your support in this regard.
Save the Date | Volunteer Appreciation Tea
Our Wolfpack team will be hosting a Volunteer Appreciation Tea on Friday, May 29 at 11:30 AM, for any QES volunteer from within our 2025-26 school year.
Upcoming | Full School Portrait
Each school-year an outdoor portrait is taken of the full school. We are planning to take this portrait photo at 11:00AM on Tuesday, June 2.
Afternoon kindergarten students are invited to ‘drop-in’ to take the photo alongside a parent/guardian or with a childcare caregiver. Any student dropping-in for the photo will leave the school grounds after the photo is taken to return at 12:29 PM for afternoon classes.
Please bring any questions, etc. To your child(ren)’s teacher.
Upcoming | School Council & Parent Society
Our final in-person meetings will be at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, May 26 on our school stage. Grade 3 teachers will be representing learners for our classroom updates.
Moving? | Notifying our School for 2026-27 Planning
A reminder to families: If you are aware that your child will be moving to a new school for the upcoming school year, please inform the school office by e-mailing our school’s general inbox at your earliest convenience. This information helps us with planning and staffing.
