Wolfpack Weekly

Hello, Wolfpack Families!

As September draws to a close, our school year is beginning to reach—to use an airline analogy—a comfortable cruising altitude.  Across grade levels, staff have invested considerable time in helping students come to know themselves as learners and one another (as classmates and schoolmates) while exploring what meaningful Cultural and Global Citizenship can look like within our school community.

We are also looking forward to welcoming our Grade 2 team as they kick off tonight's School Council meeting at 6:30 p.m. on the school stage. Their presentation will highlight learning connected to Global and Cultural Citizenship, and we hope many families are able to join us.

Your Proud Principal,
Travis Robertson

Orange Shirt Day

Our school is filled with orange today as we honour the story of Phyllis Webstad and the many Residential School Survivors whose experiences continue to teach us about the impacts of residential schools and the ongoing journey toward Reconciliation. Throughout the day, classes will engage in age-appropriate learning, reflection, and conversations about truth and reconciliation as part of our commitment to Reconciliation through Education and the Holistic Lifelong Learning Framework.

All CBE staff, students, families, friends, and neighbors are invited to continue learning and show support at the fifth annual National Day for Truth and Reconciliation & Orange Shirt Day event taking place at the Confluence Historic Site on Wednesday, Sept. 30 from 9-10:30 a.m.

This important community gathering is a collaboration between the City of Calgary, CBE, Calgary Catholic School District, Calgary Police Service, Calgary Fire Department, and The Confluence.
