Hello, Wolf Pack Families!
With Family Day approaching, we wish each of our families the very best for the weekend, ahead. Teaching staff and support staff look forward to both Teachers’ Convention and Staff Association (Support Staff) Convention tomorrow and Friday. These annual events provide our team with important opportunities for personalized professional learning and development as well as for creating and maintaining city-wide collegial networks.
Ramadan is expected to begin on the evening of Tuesday, February 17. This special month is an important time of reflection, kindness, and community for many of our students and families. We send our warmest wishes to everyone who will be observing. May this Ramadan bring peace, blessings, and meaningful moments with loved ones.

Grade 4 students will complete the Alberta Education and Child Care Student Survey.
Grade 5 and 6 students will complete the CBE Student Survey.
These surveys provide valuable feedback that helps inform school and system planning.
Reminder | Grade 4 Parent/Guardian Assurance Survey
Alberta Education will again be conducting their annual survey of grade 4 students and their parents or guardians. The survey will also be sent to all teachers in the province. The survey will gather important information about students’, parents’, and teachers’ school experiences and will help to inform continuous improvement in our education system.
To fill out the survey, please click on the survey link e-mailed to you through the Calgary Board of Education and enter the code below to begin the survey. Each parent/guardian has already received an e-mail through the Calgary Board of Education. If you have not received your e-mail, please check junk/spam and/or contact the school for more support. Please also contact the school if you need support with language translation.
Upcoming | Pink Shirt Day
On Wednesday, February 25, students and staff are invited to wear pink in recognition of Pink Shirt Day.
In 2007, in response to a new Grade 9 student being bullied for wearing a pink shirt, two Nova Scotia high school students took a stand against bullying by distributing pink shirts. This act of kindness has grown into a symbol against bullying in schools across Canada and around the world.
Promoting inclusion is something that happens in our schools every day. Families are encouraged to explore the following resources:
- Learn more about how the CBE works to create safe and caring school environments
- Learn more about Bullying Prevention – Actions We Can Take from the Government of Alberta, including downloadable resources to support bullying prevention
Reminder | School Council & Parent Society
School Council meets at 6:30 PM on our school “stage”, connected to our school gym. Our Grade 5 team will be providing a grade-team update and the Acknowledgment of the Land. During this meeting will also be providing an update on QES’ School Development Planning, inviting feedback and questions from parent/guardians.
Our Parent Society meets following School Council discussions on the school “stage”, as well.
